Company profile

Since 2005 SmarAct develops and produces piezo-driven Micro- and nanopositioners as well as complex positioning- and high precision metrology systems for motions down to the pm-range.
The particular compact construction, the huge production depth - from development, to designing the layout and in-house production of the systems - as well as scientifically and technically versed sales staff plus a comprehensive customer support are the biggest strengths of SmarAct. The wide portfolio covers linear and rotary positioners, goniometers, microgrippers, opto-mechanically components, parallel kinematics and laser interferometers. Customer-specific solutions for research and application laboratories in life science and analytical chemistry are our daily business.
The main application fields of the systems are in micro- and nanopositioning, photonics, optics, microscopy, robotics, spectroscopy, (sample-) manipulators, laser technology.

Microscopy Stages

Fully Customizable Stages for Light Microscopy The motorized X-Y sample positioning stages offer travel ranges of up to 100 mm with nanoscopic resolution and reliable repeatability. Every microscopy stage can be upgraded by 3D or 4D micromanipulators in order to accomplish most of the tasks you will more

SmarGon 5D/6D Goniometer

The SmarGon is a multi-axis-goniometer for crystal positioning and sample alignment in macromolecular crystallography. It enables optimized data collection strategies for synchrotrons, when working with x-ray sources or in automated optical crystallography. Its compact design reduces self-shadowing and more

Parallel Kinematics for High-Precision Applications The SmarPod, based on our linear positioners, is a parallel-kinematic system with six degrees of freedom (three linear and three rotary movement axes). The hexapod-like SmarPod is significantly more compact compared to common, respectively comparable more
