Product description

The new BRANDplates® Insert System for cell culture consists of 4-strip inserts and matching 24-well and 6-well plates. Depending on the insert type and the membrane, the system can be used for a variety of cellular biology tests, such as co-cultivation, transport studies, and for the manufacture of human tissue (3D tissue culture).

Unlike conventional insert systems, the BRANDplates® Insert System offers a high degree of flexibility for both manual and automated operation.
The user can choose between two plate variants (24-well plate or 6-well special variant) and two different membrane types (PC, PET) of 4-insert strips. Four pore sizes are available. In addition to standard strips, insert strips with lateral inlet openings specifically for use in tissue culture are also available.

The feeding ports in the plates permit medium change with manual systems also with pipetting roboters, without moving the inserts. The two insert variants, either as strips or separated into individual inserts, can be securely positioned suspended in the plates.

The insert strips with inlet openings make possible entirely new options for automation, because the feeding ports of the plates can be used to regulate the medium level within the inserts (Airlift-cultivation) and quick and easy replacement of the medium is possible.
