Eppendorf AG is a leading life science company that develops and sells instruments, consumables and services for handling liquids, samples and cells in laboratories worldwide. Its portfolio includes everything from pipettes, dispensers, mixers, centrifuges, spectrometers and DNA amplification devices to ultra-low-temperature freezers, fermenters, bioreactors, CO2 incubators, shakers and cell manipulation systems. Its product range is also complemented by high-quality consumables such as pipette tips, test tubes, microtiter plates and single-use bioreactors. One of the products Eppendorf is showcasing at this year's LABVOLUTION is its BioFlo 120 bioprocess system.

The BioFlo 120 is a bench-scale bioreactor/fermenter system developed as a flexible solution for meeting ever-growing customer demands. As such, it was designed from the very start to be suitable for use in all types of research and development. There are 24 optional, autoclavable vessels, both heat-blanketed and water-jacketed, available for the BioFlo 120, along with BioBLU single-use bioreactors with working volumes ranging from 250 ml to 40 l. The system features fully integrated, digital Mettler Toledo® ISM sensor technology, allowing the user to choose between measuring pH, redox, dissolved oxygen (polarographic and/or optical) and carbon dioxide without the need for additional equipment. Moreover, the BioFlo 120 features a high-precision mass flow controller that allows low-flow mammalian cell cultures to be carried out through sophisticated microbial processes on a single controller.
