Digitalization and networking in the laboratory - that is the main topic of the LIMS & Software Area at LABVOLUTION. On all three days of the trade show, there will be short presentations on standards in digitization, laboratory workflows or materials management. The topics continues to gain in relevance because users and manufacturers agree: Today, nothing works without software in the laboratory. Instrument control software or a Laboratory Information and Management System (LIMS) are the backbone of every laboratory infrastructure and provide the basis for efficient laboratory work.

Various software manufacturers will give 15-minute presentations in the lecture area of the LIMS & Software Area. These will show, for example, how a LIMS can be successfully implemented or help with image recognition. Other topics include stable data and communication standards and the standardization organizations behind them, as well as materials management as a time and cost trap in the laboratory. Furthermore, standard solutions and special requests in LIMS or successful LIMS projects as best practice examples will be presented.

The lectures are held between 10 a.m. and 12 a. m. in the morning and between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. in the afternoon. Registration is not necessary. In the LIMS & Software Area, visitors have the opportunity to engage in direct dialog with the experts and discuss the topics. The LIMS & Software Area is organized by Laborpraxis, a trade journal published by Vogel Communications Group.
