Description

The new Blue/Green LED technology shows a lot of benefits in the visualization of DNA and RNA compared to the standard UV-illumination. This technology, developed by Nippon Genetics, enables the usage of green and red dyes for the detection of DNA or RNA in agarose gels at the same intensity as UV without damaging the nucleic acid or reducing the cloning efficiency. You can also use this technology to detect green or red dyes like GFP or RFP in mice or plants.
The second part of the presentation will highlight a new DNA stain which combines safety and ultra-high sensitivity even for small fragments. Furthermore, this stain can be used for quantification of DNA in agarose gels.
