Throughput has been and still is a bottleneck and limiting factor in screening strains, cell lines and recombinant proteins. Efficient Robotics presents a microfluidic high throughput screening workstation speeding up development and optimization of microbial strains, cell lines, enzymes or antibodies as well as peptides substantially. In this system the entire workflow is automated starting from inoculation of cells, addition of an assay up to the output of positive clones showing the desired properties. Reaction volume in the nl range reduces the expenses for consumables drastically. The workstations screens up to 10 mio of cells a day, is easy to handle and features a small footprint.
