While Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) are often regarded as just a way to manage samples under test in a laboratory, this understates their potential value within an organisation working to ISO 17025. This presentation will show why a LIMS should be at the heart of your ISO 17025 compliance. As well as managing the integrity of your measurement data through the use of audit trails, security settings and laboratory workflow management, it will explain how LIMS can manage staff competencies and instrument maintenance and calibration activities in a way that integrates with the control of the laboratory process. The presentation will also illustrate how LIMS can be used for other management system functions such as CAPA management and document control.
