In 2015 seven research centers in Europe started to build up the European Nano-Medicine Characterisation Laboratory (EU-NCL). In close collaboration with the US-NCL counterpart already in operation for ten years they established physicochemical and toxicological test systems for pre-clinical characterisation of nanomaterials dedicated for use in medicinal products and devices. Since January 2017 the EU-NCL is up and running ready to characterise nanomaterials developed by European researchers and companies. Since it is funded by the European Commission the service is at no cost for all users. More information about the involved partners, the available test systems and the access conditions can be found at and at booth B08 in Hall 20.
