Product description

Dunn Labortechnik offers in Europe and the Middle East exclusively the whole product range of the American company Flexcell International.
Designed for the in vitro analysis of biomechanic and cytomechanic applications, these innovative systems enable the user to induce and observe the results of cyclic or static stress on 2D/3D cell cultures and tissues.
The Tissue Train system has been particularly developed for tissue engineering and the in vitro analysis of cyclic or static uniaxial tensile stress on 3D cell constructs that have to withstand mechanic stress in the body e.g. from muscle, lung, skin, heart, tendon, ligament, and cartilage.
The system allows the easy creation of 3D cultures as round, linear or trapezoidal constructs to help users better replicate the in vivo anatomy of the tissue of interest.
Its modular nature and the optional accessories enable the user to apply this system also to test equibiaxial and uniaxial strain on 2D cell cultures (monolayers). The optional StageFlexer Jr. and the ScanFlex offer the possibility to observe responses to strain in real-time and measure the gel compaction in 3D bioartificial tissues.
